SnapDraw Free enables you to create high quality screenshots with alpha transparency, annotations, reflections and 3-D rotation/perspective effects.
The program can capture the entire desktop, an active window or an object under your mouse via the click of a keyboard hotkey.
You can choose to add annotations (text, lines, shapes), insert additional images, adjust (or disable) reflection effects, set a background color or image and also add a text or image watermark.
SnapDraw Free is a very good choice for those who are looking to create high quality captures with reflection effects and 3-D rotation, especially if you want to display them on a custom background.
Other features include integrated FTP upload and emailing of screenshots.

For all intents and purposes, this is a very nice software and the idea behind it is great as well. I warn that the interface is going to take some getting used to before you're able to skim around it easily.
The rendering engine is very slow. I am running an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 SE, 6 gigs of OCZ DDR2 800, AMD Phenom II X4 955 which is by no means a slow system and run many games in full along with graphics apps. The rendering really bogged when adjusting an image and I've had no issue with OpenGL prior.
I wouldn't call this a screenshot software for (just needing screenshots), this is more of an editor with screenshot capability. For easy screenshots or (standard screenshot taking) keep whatever you're using, this I doubt will be a replacement.
All in all, it's a very cool software with 3D capabilities, adjusting, adding images, skewing images, and many other features and like I said, very cool but not for just quick screenshots. |
