HOWTO| How to fully disable GamingServices.exe without deleting permanently ...
If you attempt to disable gaming services automatic startup in Services, the option will be greyed out. So you can stop the process a million times, but it will always start back up within a few seconds.

This sucks, and although Microsoft support will constantly say it's integrated and can't be stopped, they're lying.

It can be stopped rather simply through the Registry.

Using Registry incorrectly can permanently harm your system, and possibly even permanently corrupt it.

Make sure you follow these steps identically, to avoid any issues.

  1. Press Windows Key + R
  2. Type regedit and press enter
  3. Once Registry is open, click the arrow beside "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE"
  4. Click the drop-down arrow beside "SYSTEM"
  5. Repeat on "ControlSet001"
  6. Now "Services"
  7. With the drop-down open under "Services", type "Ga" to jump down the list
  8. Find "GamingServices" and "GamingServicesNet"
  9. nstead of clicking the drop-down, click on "GamingServices" directly.
  10. Now on the right side of the screen, find "Start"
  11. Double click "Start" directly
  12. Type "4" (no parenthesis)
  13. Press Enter
  14. Repeat steps 9-13 for "GamingServicesNet"

Restart your system.

Now, magically, even though Microsoft claims it impossible, GamingServices.exe and its counterpart are disabled.

To check this:

  1. Press Windows Key + R
  2. Type in services.msc
  3. Once Services has opened, type "Ga" to jump the list
  4. Find "GamingServices" and "GamingServicesNet"
  5. Under "Startup type" they should both say "Disabled"
  6. If they are somehow running, simply double click them, and press stop. Now they shouldn't startup again.
