PDFsam 5.4.1 Portable ...
|
|
PDFsam enables you to split, merge and rearrange the content of PDF files. You can split documents by size, page or bookmarks, merge multiple PDF files into one, rotate documents and also switch pages between documents.
In addition to the split and merge functions, the program includes a Visual Document Composer, which allows you to open multiple documents as thumbnail previews, pick the pages you want and then create a new PDF file from the selected pages.
PDFsam also includes a Visual Reorder tool that makes it easy to rearrange the pages in a document by simply dragging the page previews into their new position.
This is a application, use the run.bat file to start the program.

 | This is a fantastic free tool for managing PDF documents. It works. It's intuitive. I highly recommend. I use it at least once a week for merging multiple PDF documents into one PDF document. Give it a try! |
 | This program offers the option of preserving bookmarks in documents that are split. It made an errorless preservation of bookmarks in a long document I split, including nested bookmarks. |
 | While it is agreeable that that interface is not the most user-friendly at first glance, it can be easily studied in two minutes.
The Visual Document module allows for extracting selected pages, reordering them, and finally merging them into a new PDF via drag-n-drop. The user is also able to save the environment (e.g. selection, reordering) in an XML file, which can be modified later.
PDFsam may not be the "prettiest" software most lay users look for, but it surely delivers what it promises to do. |
